Comeback
Lilly Scores 2nd Title!
Gilmore Foiled 2nd year in a row...
Paul Lilly won his 2nd Bookie Pool Championship by staging the greatest comeback
in pool history, going from last to first in just 4 weeks. His victory comes
despite the 2nd worst record in the league! It just goes to show it ain't
over 'till it's over!
Dino DeSantis, whose 3-year Bookie Pool stint had been marred in mediocrity,
snagged 2nd place following a huge run after being near the bottom of the
pile just 4 weeks ago. Meanwhile, for the 2nd year in a row Kale "Viking/Bills"
Gilmore was on the losing side of the Super Bowl. It is the first time in
pool history that the leader going into the Super Bowl did not finish in the
top 4 payout slots. Here's the Final Standings
and Career Statistics.
Following are the Final Season prize winners:

For the third consecutive year no new season records were broken.
Several new career records changed hands. In the Hall
of Fame, Larry Williams recaptured the lead from Al Buddy
for the most lifetime play money won, Chip Connolly moved past
Tim Sannes for best lifetime +6 winning percentage, and Tim Sannes
moved past Jeff Nelson for best lifetime tie-breaker aggregate.
In the Hall of Lame, Don Sniffin
moved past Kale Gilmore for worst lifetime winning percentage.
Tidbits: Despite winning his 2nd pool championship, Paul Lilly
has only won a net $80 in his 11 years in the pool. Bill Willis'
effort to crawl out of the prestigious Larry
Wales Special Chair Award failed as he still
remains the pool's biggest active pool donator, despite winning
3rd place this year!
Quote of the week from Pat Mundy "I was really surprised
to see Willis not win 1st place, because Willis had a system in high school
that worked". (inside joke)
Bonehead Pick of the Week: Peter Odonnell, Oak $4925.
