Who Dat? Tim Sannes!

For 16 years Tim Sannes has sought the esteemed BookiePool title. Last year he found his way into the final circle with a chance to win the crown on the Super Bowl, only to have it end with a plus-6 all-of-it thumping. But this time his mega-bet was not to be denied, earning Tim has first ever Lomfreddie trophy. Nan Batchelor's bid to win a 2nd crown fell short, but she still earned 2nd place and further distanced herself from the "pretty helmet picker" cognomen. Rookie BJ Zimmerman also came close, but no cigar after blowing $4400 on Indy. Also missing out was Ken Jessop, whose meteoric ascent earlier in the year faded through the playoffs, capped off with a $3500 loser on the Colts. Here are the Final Standings and the updated Career Statistics.

Former "Biggest Pool Contributor" Bill Willis continues to distance himself from that prestigious honor, and his 3rd place finish this year put his career winnings in the black for the first time in his 16-year career. The Current "Biggest Pool Contributor" remains original 18-year veteran Dick Cooley, who stunned the masses this year by winning more money than he put in, only his 3rd season to do so. Since Dick finishes ahead at the end of the year at a .167 clip, we are thrilled to welcome him back next year to defend his honorary chair for biggest pool contributor!

For a second year in a row Nan Batchelor won the +6 percentage pool. Pat Mundy won his third low-ball pool, but the first since 2002 (it seems there should be so many more of them).

Following are the Final Season prize winners:

Nan Batchelor overtook Fred WIlliams for most real money won, and Troy Hale overtook Dino DeSantis for best career tie-breaker average. In the Hall of Lame, Kevin Hale's 13-game slide broke his previous record for the longest losing streak, Pat Mundy set the record for most weeks without a net gain (18), and tied the record for most weeks in last place (13). No career records changed hands.

Note from Commissioner: Here's the credit list showing how much you have coming, and how much you will owe next year. As in past years, if you have under $63 in winnings, unless I hear from you I'm going to assume you want it credited toward next year. If you have over $63, I'm going to subtract the $63 fee for next year and send you the balance. If you have a balance owed you, please either send me your address so I can mail you a check, or let me know if you want me to send it to your email address via PayPal. As in past years, I will wait about a week before sending payments, in case any errors are found in the Final Standings.

Until the 19th season of the Bookie Pool next year, ariva deuche!
